Rob Moore
for LaSalle Town Council

Hello, LaSalle! My name is Rob Moore and I am excited to have the opportunity to represent you, your families, and your dreams for LaSalle as part of the LaSalle Town Council. In 2002, my wife, a teacher in LaSalle, and I decided to move to LaSalle to begin to raise our young family, and we cannot imagine living in any other community. Since this time, I have become fully immersed in the LaSalle community and have a passion to continue to see LaSalle stand out as a desired, affordable, healthy, place to live. Through my volunteer experiences, I have come to learn many things about how the town council operates, and also have many ideas about how the Town of LaSalle can become more affordable for its residents, grow in economic opportunities, and still have the "small town" feel its residents appreciate. I look forward to meeting many of you as I campaign, but if we cannot meet face-to-face, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have in regards to my vision and platform for LaSalle.

Dedicated, Passionate,
Committed.

As a result of the postal strike, voters must pick up their VIL letters at Town Hall in LaSalle during the dates and times above. You can vote online starting October 10 either at Town Hall or at home.

My Vision for LaSalle
- Ensuring future home builds (as the recently approved 10,000 new homes) are affordable, single family homes.
- Addressing future concerns with MPAC and the impact on property taxes; reducing and adjusting the mill rate to keep property taxes down.
- Exploring funds given to the County of Essex and ensuring LaSalle receives a fair share return for tax dollars given. Are you aware that more than 30% of LaSalle tax dollars goes to the County of Essex. Is LaSalle seeing that return?
- Make residents' voices heard with the continued waterfront development project, and working to making it a space for residents of all ages to enjoy the beauty of the waterfront and social aspects of a community. Making the waterfront a unique destination unlike other towns and municipalities keeping financial concerns of residents at the heart of decision making.
- Cutting "red tape" to business owners in the Town of LaSalle to ensure future growth stays in our town.
- Listen to residents' concerns regarding road safety and seek to make quick improvements.
- Increase the presence of the arts in LaSalle for artists, photographers, musicians, actors to display and promote their work.
- Seeking provincial and federal grants for town recreation improvement and building projects to keep costs low for tax payers. Is the Town of LaSalle seeking and taking advantage of every financial aid available?
